Bring a KoMIX Jam to your School or Community
What is a KoMIX Jam?

KoMIX Jam is an exciting creative sprint where students come together to create their own digital comics--just like a Hackathon or Game Jam, but for storytelling ad visual art! Over a weekend, teams of 3-5 members take on specialized roles--writers, pencillers, inkers, colorists, and letteres--to bring their ideas to life. Studets can create using digital tools or traditional media like pecils, inks, markers, and watercolors with the KoMIX Camera Capture feature, allowing them to build comics without the eed for a PC or digital tablet.
At the end of the event, teams upload their Web KoMIX or 4-panel strips to HALO HALO, where the student community votes on their favorites. School spirit meets creative competition!

HOW IT WORKS
It's like a GAME JAM or Hackathon but with ART, MUSIC and KOMIX!

-
Gather Teams: Students form groups of 2-5 members with different creative roles (ex: Writer, Pencillers, Inker, Colorist)
-
Create in 48 Hours: Teams must produce a Web KoMIX or 4-panel Strips within a set timeframe (typically a weekend). Use Traditional Media (Ink, Markers, Pencil Crayons) or Digital.
-
Upload & Vote: Stories go live on HALO HALO for the community to read and vote on! Tag your stories for easy searching!
-
Celebrate Creativity: Faculty, students, and industry professionals can highlight top creators, fostering a supportive creative culture.

Make It Even More Fun!

Theme Challenges - Each KoMIX Jam could have a central theme (e.g., "Myth & Legend," "Future Worlds," "Campus Adventures").

KoMIX Karaoke - Add a musician to the team to create an original soundtrack or theme song that enhances the KoMIX experience.
Special Guest Mentors - Invite local artists, industry pros, or alumni to give feedback and inspire students.
Collaborative Awards - Recognition for best storytelling, art, humor, and innovation.
